Are these tiles easy to cut and install?
Yes. Colamo tiles are designed for easy DIY installation. For detailed cutting and installation steps, please refer to the Colamo Tile Installation Guide.
Does this go over existing tile?
Yes! 🙋♀️Our tiles feature a rigid core and are thick enough to naturally bridge over deep grout lines.
However, try to ensure the surface is as flat as possible. If your existing tiles have texture, we recommend lightly sanding the surface.
For extra security on uneven surfaces, you can add some adhesive, like a spray adhesive to ensure proper bonding.
Before installation, use an all-purpose cleaner to remove any grease or residue. Always make sure the surface is dry and dust-free to ensure the best adhesion.
Can I install peel and stick tiles on textured walls (like orange peel)?
For best results, a smooth and flat surface is always recommended.
However, our peel and stick tiles can still be installed on lightly textured walls, such as orange peel. We’ve had many customers successfully apply them directly without sanding.
What to expect:
- Minor Gaps: On textured surfaces, you may notice that some tiles don’t sit perfectly flush—this is normal. A simple fix is to apply silicone caulk (just like grout) between the tiles. This helps fill small gaps and creates a cleaner, more finished look.
- Extra Security: If you are concerned about the wall texture affecting the bond, applying a bit of spray adhesive (such as 3M Super 77) to the wall before installation can provide extra peace of mind and ensure the tiles stay firmly in place.

These tiles are beautiful. They are more teal in color than green. Be prepared to spend some time cutting them. I used big Milwaukee scissors and an exacto knife to cut them. I first scored along the backside of the tile with the exacto knife before attempting to cut with the scissors. Still extremely difficult to cut. They seem to be very durable and the adhesive on the back adheres to any surface very well. I placed them over existing tiles after cleaning the existing tiles and removing any signs of dirt or grease. Overall very happy with this tile.

These tiles are thick and sturdy. Initially, I got these to refurbish a tabletop, but I got nervous about trimming them and ruining them. So I opted for a wall feature. The colors are deep, and the matte finish adds warmth. I'm incredibly happy. The thick tiles also enhances the audio in our screening room. The colors match our existing decor perfectly!

I love the colors and the design, which look just like the picture. The texture of the tiles are so nice. It's not porious . I only have laid them out to see which way I want the pattern to go but I know they will be easy to work with.

I bought these to use in my pantry and they worked just like I hoped. The tiles are very thick and durable. They don't feel cheap and you can't bend them like a cheap peel-and-stick tile. I'm very happy with them.
Easy to install, consistent colors and clean lines, but they scratch too easily for 5 stars.
