Are these tiles easy to cut and install?
Yes. Colamo tiles are designed for easy DIY installation. For detailed cutting and installation steps, please refer to the Colamo Tile Installation Guide.
Does this go over existing tile?
Yes! 🙋♀️Our tiles feature a rigid core and are thick enough to naturally bridge over deep grout lines.
However, try to ensure the surface is as flat as possible. If your existing tiles have texture, we recommend lightly sanding the surface.
For extra security on uneven surfaces, you can add some adhesive, like a spray adhesive to ensure proper bonding.
Before installation, use an all-purpose cleaner to remove any grease or residue. Always make sure the surface is dry and dust-free to ensure the best adhesion.
Can I install peel and stick tiles on textured walls (like orange peel)?
For best results, a smooth and flat surface is always recommended.
However, our peel and stick tiles can still be installed on lightly textured walls, such as orange peel. We’ve had many customers successfully apply them directly without sanding.
What to expect:
- Minor Gaps: On textured surfaces, you may notice that some tiles don’t sit perfectly flush—this is normal. A simple fix is to apply silicone caulk (just like grout) between the tiles. This helps fill small gaps and creates a cleaner, more finished look.
- Extra Security: If you are concerned about the wall texture affecting the bond, applying a bit of spray adhesive (such as 3M Super 77) to the wall before installation can provide extra peace of mind and ensure the tiles stay firmly in place.

Such a great thick peel and stick tile! I haven't completed my project yet, but can say it was well worth the money.
The quality is amazing. It’s textured, looks like real tile but not heavy and way easier to work with. I used a utility knife and square metal rulers. Score & snap to do the smaller pieces. Easy to cut & manipulate. The stick on these is strong, so make sure it’s positioned correctly or you will struggle to remove it. It took about a days worth of work. Finished off edges with caulking. This wall was almost four boxes of 10. It is stunning. It turned a bland hallway to the laundry room and pantry to a stunning accent hall. I really love the look, the quality, the ease of working with, it’s almost too good to be true, but believe it, this is a quality product. I used the beige, it looks beige in the box, but looks taupe/gray on the wall. That’s just the lighting in that area, I still am fascinated with and I love how it took on its own unique color.
Not difficult to cute and super easy to put on wall
I loved how easy this product was to use. I used it to create a boarder around my shower. I had a couple tile that didn't want to stick. I just added a little caulking around the edge. I was able to easily use a box cutting knife to cut out corners to fit the corners. It turned out perfect

Much thicker and durable than I imagined for a stick on. You'd have a hard time distinguishing from actual ceramic tile and grout!

I am on a budget and unable to redo my kitchen at this time. When I saw these tiles, they reminded me of my sister in law's high end kitchen. She had the exact same colored tiles in her kitchen on her backsplash so I went ahead and bought 5 boxes. They were super easy to install and they stick like nobody's business. I probably didn't do this right, but I gave my husband a nightmare using our circular saw to trim the tiles that needed to be resized. I am not savvy with home improvement projects and my Home Depot scissors were not enough for me to resize what I needed in order for everything to fit. I recommend getting these tiles if you need to update your kitchen backsplash but may be on a budget like me. If you are good with saws and cutting things, you probably will easily install these tiles when it comes to resizing them. For my kitchen, I really like them versus the ugly peach tiles that I laid them over. Good riddance!
